"What I Did Last Summer"

The summer of 1998 has provided some good "photo-ops", with a couple of trips into the French Alps and several weeks in Portugal.

"Via Ferata" is a "sport" of Italian origin as a sort of middle ground between mountain hiking and serious alpinism. Our friends David and Anne, both experienced climbers, persuaded us to give it a shot. For someone such as myself who is subject to occasional vertigo, it was, to say the least, an intense experience.
